Process

Define, Design, Develop and Deliver are the four core phases of our fluid and holistic design process. Each phase allows for building on the findings of the previous phase. It also allows us to be cyclical in defining and testing concept solutions. Tweaking them till they hit all identified opportunities, helping lead to a thoroughly conceived final design.

01 Define

Each project starts with gathering information to get a thorough understanding of the goals the client is looking to achieve. Finding out the core business impetus helps to develop insights into the product space and consumer needs. A deep understanding allows for a well formulated project plan to position your product for success.

02 Design

This is where the magic happens.  Taking all the findings in phase 01 and putting pencil to paper to develop a range of concepts that explore design direction. Fleshing out 2D drawings, renderings and physical models to evaluate potential areas of innovation or ways of leveraging IP (Intellectual Property).

03 Develop

Testing, refining and validating are key activities for bringing the design to fruition. This phase is iterative in nature. Lots are discovered about the design, what works and what needs reworking; discoveries that come from testing, refining and re-testing the theories of the chosen design. Once the design is validated it is ready for CAD development and DFM (Design For Manufacturing) .

04 Deliver

Delivering a well-designed solution to a compelling challenge requires attention to details. Especially when taking the final step in getting your product to market. A well-executed DFM plan is critical to this delivery. Taking complex geometry and distilling it down to clean, simple and easily manufactured parts; helping reduce cost of tooling and making assembly as simple as possible.
